Solaris Health are delighted to be part of World Bedwetting Day this year, having developed an exciting global campaign that aims to help raise awareness that bedwetting among children is a troubling medical condition, and to help families seek the help they need from healthcare professionals.
Bedwetting is a common medical condition which has a serious impact on a child’s self-esteem, emotional well-being and daytime functioning, including school and social performance. However, the impact is often underestimated and trivialised.
The International Children’s Continence Society (ICCS) and the European Society for Paediatric Urology (ESPU) launched World Bedwetting Day (WBD) in 2015. This year will mark the third consecutive year that the day will be marked globally and it will take place on 30th May 2017.
By raising awareness of bedwetting as a common condition that can and should be treated, World Bedwetting Day aims to encourage families to discuss bedwetting with their doctors and get the help they need.
Throughout the campaign, World Bedwetting Day will be sharing helpful information for affected families via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. There is also a raft of fun and informative animations, videos and downloadable resources on their website to help parents and children, which we’d recommend checking out!
