Inclusion, while closely related, is a separate concept from diversity. Inclusion is a sense of belonging: inclusive cultures make people feel respected and valued for who they are as individuals or as a group. People feel a level of supportive energy and commitment from others which motivates them to do their best at work.

On the other hand, diversity is any dimension that can be used to differentiate groups and people from one another. In a nutshell, it is about empowering people by respecting and valuing what makes them different, in terms of demographics such as age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education, and national origin.

Today at our monthly breakfast meeting, our Chief Exec, Claire, presented a beautifully crafted film with some rather tear-jerking moments depicting diversity and inclusion: ‘All That We Share’.

All That We Share is an award-winning short, strategic film created for Denmark's most watched family of channels, TV2. The film was made to communicate the channel's new strategy internally and externally, focusing on the things that unite us in these dividing times.

Key take home message: we have a lot in common, but we do not always notice it. There is more that brings us together than we think! Explore your common thread.
